I GOT YOUR SIX
I Got Your Six was started by strength coach, ADHD advocate and Royal Navy veteran, Tim Latter, to offer veteran support directly to veterans through The ‘OG’ Workshop, and indirectly to a veteran’s friends and family members, work colleagues and workplaces through panel discussions, media interviews, keynote speeches and Workplace Workshops to make the world a better, more understanding place.
The meaning of I Got Your Six
In the military, I Got Your Six means I’ve got your back, and it’s an ethos that runs deep in everything we do.
We are passionate about veterans and, because of our own experiences, we know how tough the transition from military to civilian life and the traditional workplace is. We aim to make every step of that journey - regardless of how long you’ve been out of the military - easier through the work that we do.
We also feel strongly about advocating for veterans and raising awareness of their needs, challenges and the realities of leaving the military.
OUR ROOTS
I Got Your Six was started in 2026 after Tim sold his successful strongman gym, Grindhouse Strongman Gym, in Burton-upon-Trent.
Whilst running the gym, Tim delivered “P6”, which stood for “Project Got Your Six”. Sound familiar? Well, it should… These sessions were known for helping people build strength, confidence, resilience and connection through lived experience, honest conversations and practical action – but, back then, they were just a small part of his work.
Those roots still serve as the core foundations for everything we do and what we passionately believe in at I Got Your Six, but our mission has changed slightly. Instead of it being a small part of what Tim does, it’s become everything - and for good reason.
We believe in the importance of what we preach, and we’ve developed programmes that have these roots at their heart, but are also backed by experience and real stories to bring I Got Your Six to individuals, communities and workplaces that need our intervention most.
OUR VALUES
We are a values-driven business, and they guide everything we do. You don’t have to like or agree with them, but you do have to respect them if we work together.
COMMUNITY
We believe a strong, supportive community that always has our back, which has come together from a place of understanding and shared experiences, creates a strong sense of belonging and purpose.
Community is at the beating heart of what we do, and there are many ways we build, nurture and bring them together; whether that’s through the delivery of our workplace workshops, ‘The OG Workshop’ , Tim’s talks and keynote speeches he delivers across the globe.
EDUCATION & UNDERSTANDING
We believe learning leads to awareness, and awareness leads to understanding, which always leads to positive outcomes.
By bringing awareness of military and veteran life to communities and workplaces, we can create environments with better support systems that allow veterans and their families to thrive.
CLEAR COMMUNICATION
We believe a lot of life’s problems would be solved if communication was clearer, honest and respectful. In our eyes, this is what builds trust, understanding, and stronger communities.
A veteran is used to working in environments where communication is clear, direct and says exactly what is needed. This isn’t just something they value, but something they need for a better quality of life - so it’s imperative that this is one of our values, too.
Through our work in communities and workplaces, we promote honest and open dialogue, reduce misunderstanding, and encourage conversations that lead to real support, connection, and positive change.
Support and wellbeing
We care about the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of our community and are committed to doing all we can to support them with improving it.
Whether they’re silently battling their demons, have access to limited resources, or something else, a veteran isn’t always able to put themselves first. When they can’t look after their wellbeing, we are here to guide others that can.
Through the work we deliver within communities and workplaces, we provide practical guidance and understanding that helps people move forward with confidence.
Purpose and empowerment
We believe everyone has a purpose and everyone deserves to feel empowered. We achieve this by turning experience into strength and challenge into opportunity.
When a veteran leaves the military, their sense of purpose can disappear in one single click. Getting it back takes much longer.
We help veterans rediscover purpose beyond military service and empower families and workplaces to support them effectively, through the programmes we deliver within communities and workplaces.
authenticity
We believe in being real, honest, and true to a person's lived experience.
To us, authenticity means speaking from genuine experience, sharing real stories, and creating environments with genuine support where people can be themselves without pressure or judgement.
As a veteran-led initiative, we value openness, humility, and credibility, ensuring that everything we do within communities and workplaces reflects the realities of military life and transition into civilian life.
We do not pretend to have all the answers. We listen, learn, and lead with honesty, creating a culture where veterans and families feel safe to speak openly and workplaces receive grounded, real-world insight they can trust.
