ABOUT TIM

Tim

I train athletes from novice to pro, strength through to MMA and combat sports, plus one-to-one coaching built around real, lasting health benefits. Whatever your starting point, I’ll meet you there and take you further.

No online plans, no ego. Just proper in-person coaching that fits your goals, your body and your life. You bring the graft, I’ll bring the knowledge, and together we’ll get you stronger, fitter and moving better than you thought you could.

This is more than training. It’s having someone in your corner who actually gives a shit.

I Got Your Six was started by strength coach, ADHD advocate and Royal Navy veteran, Tim Latter. IGY6 offers veteran support directly to veterans through The ‘OG’ Workshop, and indirectly to a veteran’s friends and family members, work colleagues and workplaces through panel discussions, media interviews, keynote speeches and workplace workshops to make the world a better, more understanding place.

Tims Story

Tim’s story of leaving the military and stepping into civilian life is one many people will recognise.

What followed wasn’t a smooth transition. It was years of trying to navigate a world that often made little sense. Addiction. Suicide attempts. Being sectioned. Misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis before finally receiving a late ADHD diagnosis at 45 and understanding why life had felt like such a constant battle.

Like many people, Tim struggled with the loss of structure, identity, purpose and belonging. But he also discovered something else: many of us spend our lives adapting, masking and surviving without ever truly understanding how our brains work.

For some, structure, routine and purpose provide the foundations that allow them to thrive. When those foundations disappear, life can feel chaotic, overwhelming and lonely. The things many people take for granted, such as routine, relationships, employment and day-to-day responsibilities, can suddenly become difficult to manage.

For Tim, it was found through training, strength sports, and challenge. Through pushing physical limits, learning from failure, and finding purpose again. Most importantly, it was found through being around people who understood.

Our roots

I Got Your Six was started in 2026 after Tim sold his successful strongman gym, Grindhouse Strongman Gym, in Burton-upon-Trent.

Whilst running the gym, Tim delivered “P6”, which stood for “Project Got Your Six”. Sound familiar? Well, it should. These sessions helped people build strength, confidence, resilience and connection through lived experience, honest conversations and practical action, but at the time, they were only a small part of his work.

Those roots remain at the heart of everything we do and everything we passionately believe in at I Got Your Six, but our mission has evolved. What was once a small part of Tim’s work has now become everything, and for good reason.

We believe in the importance of what we preach, and we’ve developed programmes that have these roots at their heart, but are also backed by experience and real stories to bring I Got Your Six to individuals, communities and workplaces that need our intervention most.
